Russell Investment Group has hired former Macquarie Bank analyst Andrew Pease in the newly created role of investment strategist reporting directly to Peter Gunning, the group’s chief investment officer.
Russell has also hired Sunsuper’s Linda Elkins as director of retirement services, in a bid to aggressively grow Russell’s corporate super master trust business. Russell’s retirement services business is the group’s newest division and has already attracted over $3 billion in assets under management. Elkins, who will report to Heather Dawson, managing director of retirement services, will commence employment in June following a short break. A spokesperson for Russell said: “Linda will use her skills within member services to help continue growing our rapidly expanding super solutions business”. Gunning was unavailable for comment.
