Fund staff to take centre stage at first AIST awards night

The Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees will honour the achievements of super fund staff at its inaugural ‘Awards for Excellence’ night in December this year.

The awards will publicly recognise the “pursuit of excellence and professionalism” among the estimated 1500-plus fund staff around Australia. In addition to presentation of AIST’s Communication Awards, announced at the Conference of Major Superannuation Funds in March, individual awards will be presented for compliance, investment, operations/administration, marketing and business development, as well as a Super Team Award. Individual winners will receive a $5000 scholarship towards professional development opportunities, and the winner of the team award will receive the same amount to be put towards team building activities. The evening will be held at the Plaza Ballroom of the Regent Theatre in Melbourne on December 4. AIST is receiving nominations for the awards until the end of October.
