MIR upgrades with Charles River systems

Sydney-based value manager MIR Investment Management has gone live on an upgrade of the Charles River trading and compliance systems and added the global FIX electronic trading module.

Armik Ayoubdel, head of IT solutions and dealing at MIR, said the firm decided to upgrade its Charles River investment management system (IMS) and add new capabilities to further enhance full straight through processing (STP). MIR first appointed Charles River in 2006.

MIR recently implemented Charles River’s post-trade service to help with STP, allowing real-time settlement matching.

Ayoubdel said MIR now had streamlined all of its front and middle-office operations in one integrated system, which was “in tune with our business and operational needs”.

MIR has both long-only and long/short Australian equities and Asia ex-Japan equities strategies on offer.
