Hatfield goes global with Triple A Partners deal

Hatfield Advisors, a third-party marketer and researcher of alternative products, has linked with the Asian-based third-party marketing business Triple A Partners.

Through a joint-venture arrangement, Hatfield Advisors will look to distribute Triple A Partners’ managers’ strategies in Australia and New Zealand, giving both firms global reach for the first time. Triple A previously had coverage in the US, UK, Hong Kong, Japan and Korea, providing primarily Asian-based investment opportunities.

Damien Hatfield, the well-known founder and chief executive of Hatfield Advisors will join the management committee of Triple A. He is also changing the name of his firm to Triple A Partners Australia.

He said the firm would continue to serve its existing client base in exactly the same way as previously, but with greater access to the funds management community worldwide.

“This will help us source the very best products for our Australasian client base,” he said. “Further, we will be able to better facilitate the access of Australian-domiciled managers to global investors through Triple A Partners’ existing client network.”

Hatfield will continue to provide performance numbers and research reports on Australian hedge fund managers, which he does in association with Investment & Technology Magazine.
