Face of UBS transition management moves on

The UBS Institutional Funds Group, which famously performed last year’s massive domestic equities transition for AustralianSuper, will soon have a new head following the incumbent’s promotion within UBS.

Nick Carrigan, who established the Group in 2005, will leave Sydney for Tokyo in March, having been appointed head of client trading and execution for UBS’ Japanese equities business.

Carrigan will be replaced by Andrew Dalgleish, a member of the Institutional Funds Group since 2006, when he joined UBS after stints in transition management at Barclays Global Investors and Merill Lynch Investment Management.

Carrigan joined UBS in 1995 as a graduate in equities trading technology, and he will use this knowledge in a Japanese market only now adopting global standards.
