Jane Perry is new Qantas Super CEO

Jane Perry is the new chief executive of Qantas Superannuation Ltd.

Perry is the former CEO of JPMorgan Chase & Co.’s treasury and custody business in Australia and New Zealand. She has also been the chief operations officer of AXA Asia Pacific Holdings.

Her appointment is effective February 1, 2012, a statement said.

Perry replaces interim CEO Andrew Spence who is also the fund’s chief investment officer. He didn’t want to be chief executive.

Janet Torney, the former CEO, left the fund on August 26 after four years.

Qantas Superannuation is a 75-year old fund that has about $6 billion in assets under management and 33,000 members.

Perry says she wants to “improve service and benefits” to the fund’s members.
