Miles Collins moves from Myer to University of Sydney

Miles Collins, the former head of investment at the Myer Family Company fund, has become chief investment officer of the $1.4 billion University of Sydney trust fund.

Collins will be in charge of a team of three that includes Andrew Batsakis, associate director, external investments, Dr Jon Glass, investment consultant and Hon Lee, associate director Future Fund Investments.

Collins takes over the role that was formerly held by Greg Fernance who held the title of head of investment and capital management and was with the fund for 12 years.

Collins spent eight years at the Myer Family Company, Australia’s largest multi-family office, where he was head of investment.

Prior to this he was a discretionary investment manager with an Edinburgh-based legal firm before moving to Sydney and working with Standard & Poor’s.
