This session will provide an update on the latest medical and academic research relating to mental ill health, including how the system is evolving towards greater decentralisation and greater personalisation, and daw out the implications for underwriting insurance. It will focus on the underlying factors that have led to the rise in mental health claims, on research conducted in Victoria that drove significant change to the state’s mental health and wellbeing system, and what insurers and super funds can learn from it.
