Adrian Jones

Adrian is chairman and co-head of the Global Equity business within Goldman Sachs Asset Management. He serves on a number of Asset & Wealth Management Private Investment committees, including Corporate, Infrastructure, Growth Equity and Sustainable Investing. Adrian joined Goldman Sachs as an associate in the Investment Banking Division (IBD) in 1994. After two years in IBD, and mobility assignments in Equity Capital Markets and in the Executive Office of Goldman Sachs International, he joined the Principal Investment Area (PIA) in London in 1998. Adrian returned to New York in 2002 in PIA and was named managing director later that year. He was named partner in 2004. Following his cadetship at the Irish Military College, Adrian was commissioned in 1983 as a lieutenant in the Irish Army, where he served until 1989. From 1987 to 1988, he served in the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in southern Lebanon. After moving to the United States in 1989, Adrian worked at the Bank of Boston in Credit Derivatives for two years.

In addition to representing Goldman Sachs on several corporate boards, Adrian serves on the boards of Autism Speaks and The American Ireland Fund.

Adrian earned a BA in Economics and Politics from University College, Galway, in 1986, an MA in Economics from University College, Dublin, in 1989 and an MBA from Harvard Business School in 1994.
