Andrew Whittaker joined QIC’s state investments team in December 2021. Whittaker is a director of strategy and implementation reporting directly to Allison Hill, the state chief investment officer. He has responsibility for several portfolios managed on behalf of the state of Queensland in conjunction with a whole of portfolio remit which spans: strategic tilts, tail protection strategies and portfolio implementation and risk management.
Prior to joining the state investments team, Whittaker spent 13 years within the QIC liquid markets group. His most recent role was as a senior portfolio manager of fixed income, credit and inflation, with active portfolio management responsibility across insurance and Australian fixed income funds.
