Damien Frawley was appointed independent chair of Hostplus in 2022. He is an experienced leader and company director with a broad background spanning financial services, agribusiness and the public sector.
His executive career includes serving as CEO of Queensland Investment Corporation and as managing director and CEO of BlackRock in Australia, along with senior leadership roles at Merrill Lynch Investment Management and Barclays Global Investors. Damien represented Australia in rugby union between 1986 and 1988.
Alongside his role at Hostplus, Damien is chair of the Queensland Treasury Corporation Capital Markets Board and a director of Mirvac Group and Elders Limited.
