Damien will commence as chief investment officer at Brighter Super in April 2026, where he will be leading the fund’s investment strategy and portfolio management function.
He brings close to three decades of experience in institutional asset management, having held senior roles at ING Investment Management, Perpetual Investments and Aware Super. He is currently deputy chief investment Officer and head of international at Aware Super UK, where he led the establishment of the fund’s London office and built its international investment, governance, risk and business management capabilities within a regulated environment.
During his tenure at Aware Super, Webb played a central role in developing and executing multi-asset investment strategies across infrastructure, property and credit income. He established and scaled direct investment capabilities, strengthened active asset management practices and built high-performing, multi-disciplinary investment teams.
Earlier in his career, Webb led the multi-manager capability at Perpetual Investments, overseeing diversified and alternative portfolios, and held portfolio management roles at ING Investment Management, contributing across manager research, asset allocation and portfolio construction.
