David is head of team for credit at Polen Capital, where he serves as co-portfolio manager of the US Opportunistic High Yield and US High Yield strategies. In 1996, he co-founded DDJ Capital, where he built the boutique firm into a premier credit manager focused on high yield and special situation investing. In 2022, Polen Capital acquired DDJ Capital, which launched the firm’s credit capabilities. Previously, Brezzano was vice president and portfolio manager at Fidelity Investments in the high income group, where he directed the investment management of high yield and distressed assets. Prior to that, he spent five years at T. Rowe Price as a high yield analyst and portfolio manager. Brezzano earned his BA in political science and economics from Union College and an MBA from Cornell University. He serves on the BOARD OF TRUSTEES of Union College and is an Emeritus Trustee at Cornell University.
