Fahmi Hosain is the head of government relations & regulatory affairs at Future Super Group. In this capacity he was a member of the Technical Working Group assembled by Treasury to advise it on addressing the unintended consequences of the Your Future, Your Super performance test. Hosain has 25 years’ experience in financial services with 17 of these spent at APRA in senior supervisory and policy making roles, including as the inaugural Head of Governance, Culture & Remuneration. During this time, he was Australia’s representative on the Financial Stability Board’s Working Group on Governance Frameworks. He has also been a member of missions assembled by the International Monetary Fund to advise foreign governments on regulatory settings for conglomerate and pension systems.
