Jeremy Cooper

Jeremy Cooper is in the non-executive phase of his career. His interests lie at the intersection of financial services and the race to decarbonisation.

Jeremy was Chairman, Retirement Income at Challenger from late 2010 to late 2022. Prior to joining Challenger, Jeremy was appointed by the Rudd Government in 2009 to chair a wide-ranging review of the superannuation system, known as the ‘Cooper Review’. Jeremy was the deputy chair of ASIC for five years from mid-2004 and previously a partner of Australian law firm, now Ashurst Australia, for over 20 years.

His current roles, in addition to chairing the Conexus Institute Advisory Board, are:
• chair of the Carbon Advisory Board of Future Group, owner of Future Super;
• non-executive director of Bennelong Funds Management Ltd; and
• strategic adviser, ESG at MinterEllison.
