John Pearce joined UniSuper in 2009 and is responsible for the management of its investment functions. He has over 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry both in Australia and Asia and has held several senior positions including chief executive officer and general manager, investments for Australia’s largest asset management company Colonial First State from 2000 to 2006.
From 2006 to 2008 he was the head of global asset management for Ping An, which is China’s second largest insurance company. Pearce has a degree in economics and a master’s in applied finance. He has also completed a program for Management Development at Harvard Business School. John was appointed a non-executive director on the Treasury Corporation of Victoria Board in April 2015.
