Mike Frith

Mike Frith is director of economics in the asset allocation team for the Guardians of New Zealand Superannuation. His primary role is to provide the macroeconomic advice that underpins investment decisions and portfolio construction. His most recent focus has been as part of the team reviewing the fund’s reference and actual portfolio allocations and liquidity framework settings, building a longer-term macro scenario framework, and considering the impacts of climate change and sustainability on portfolio returns.  Prior to joining the Guardians, Frith held a number of roles during a lengthy tenure at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, which included managing the bank’s Auckland office and management roles across financial markets, economics, and prudential supervision departments.
