Neil is an investment specialist at Escala Partners, recently joined Escala Partners as an Investment Specialist, covering a broad array of alternative investment opportunities. Alternatives is an area of increasing interest from Escala clients who are seeking high quality, sophisticated strategies beyond traditional markets.
Prior to Escala, Neil designed a bespoke climate tech investment program for the Clean Energy Finance Corporation and before that was the executive director of Investments at Breakthrough Victoria, a $2 billion dollar program focussed on innovative technology investments.
Neil is best known for his role as the head of private equity and venture capital at HostPlus. Neil led the investment team that successfully backed and supported more Australian venture managers over the past decade than any other group. He was instrumental in introducing venture investing to the Fund in 2014 and Hostplus is now a recognised leader in this area. Neil also established a highly successful direct co-investment program at the fund.
