Stanley Yeo has a total of 20 years’ investment experience. Uniquely, he has cross asset class experience as portfolio manager, fixed interest and cash and portfolio manager, international equities, whilst always maintaining responsibility for investment strategy and asset allocation – undoubtedly the most important investment decision. The results speak for themselves; each of the funds Yeo has managed has resulted in first quartile performance for the period under his management.
He is currently the deputy chief investment officer of an investment team of 30 professionals and as head of equities, he leads a team of seven portfolio managers and analysts to a set of common goals and objectives. He also manages a suite of diversified funds totalling approximately $8 billion and International Equities assets totally over $2 billion. He has had to implement asset allocation and investment ideas, manage investment risk, and be accountable for these decisions through the performance of the funds.
Yeo is an executive member of the investment management committee – the governing body of the investment team where investment recommendations are considered. Before IOOF, he was employed as a senior consultant with Russell Investments. Yeo is a Chartered Financial Analyst and graduated from Monash University with a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws (Hons). He graduated amongst the top 5% in Law school, received numerous university prizes including: Australian Banking Law, Business Statistics and Accounting. He is a Golden Key National Honor Society life member in recognition of graduating in the top 10% of university graduates worldwide.
