Stuart Simmons joined QIC in 2015 and is responsible for leading the multi-asset solutions team within the liquid markets group, incorporating currency hedging, asset overlays, protection strategies and other derivatives solutions across a range of asset classes.
Prior to joining QIC, Simmons held positions including director, ANZ (Europe), managing director, Principal Global Investors (Europe) and vice president, BT Funds Management. He has extensive experience in currency markets.
Alongside his role at QIC, Simmons was appointed co-vice chair to the Global Foreign Exchange Committee in 2024, having served as Australia’s private sector representative between 2019 and 2022. Simmons is also a member of the RBA’s Australian foreign exchange committee.
