Goodwin is head of direct investments at the New Zealand Superannuation Fund, a sovereign wealth fund and invests money, on behalf of the New Zealand Government, to help pay for the increased cost of universal superannuation entitlements in the future. A long-term, growth-oriented investor, the Fund has ~NZ$60 billion under management. Goodwin is responsible for leading the Fund’s global direct / private equity, real asset, active listed equity and machine learning investments. I am also a member of the Fund’s Investment Committee.
