White Outsourcing continues to win its fair share of start-up funds manager administration business, including in the long/short domain.
Recent wins include an imminent ‘Absolute Equities Fund’ for Edward Baillie Capital, in whose admin tender White is understood to have pipped State Street Investor Services and Citco. Waterstone Capital, the shop founded by former Colonial First State Australian equities boss, Ian Harding, is also using White to administer its lone offering thus far, the Absolute Return Fund. A Bennelong Funds Management long/short fund, run by former National Australia Asset Management executive Richard Fish, is another recent client, as is Naos Asset Management, whose Australian small cap and long/short funds are overseen by former Aberdeen Asset Management head of equities, Craig Hood.
