CMSF close to record numbers

The annual Conference of Major Superannuation Funds (CMSF) is gearing up for its biggest conference yet.

CMSF registrations will close early next week and conference organisers expect delegates to be close to the 1,200 limit. Registrations close Monday, February 26, 2007. Last year attendance reached 1,000 and this year the conference will be using a bigger auditorium to accommodate the expected increase in numbers. Speakers at this year’s conference include ‘The Barefoot Investor’, Scott Pape, who will discuss tips for keeping long-term customers. Branding guru Mark Ritson will also be speaking on marketing and brand in a complex world. Richard Gilbert, IFSA CEO, Jo-Anne Bloch, FPA CEO and Alan Kohler, ABC journalist will debate the issues surrounding commissions and financial advice. Garry Weaven, Industry Funds Management chair, will also forecast the industry’s future.
