The Fund Executives Association Ltd annual scholarship recipients have been announced, with the two international study winners being Bruce Stafford from HESTA and John Livanas from FuturePlus.
For the past seven years, Aberdeen Asset Management has funded the two international scholarships to Centre for Investor Education (CIE) offshore conferences. Both scholarship recipents will travel this year to the International Investing conference in Montreal and New York. CIE also funds three scholarships to its Australian conferences. The three local scholarship winners for 2007 are: Robin Burns from Equipsuper; Grant Harslett from Seafarers Retirement Fund and David O’Sullivan from BUSS (Q). Michael Baldwin, FEAL chief executive, said the scholarship program was the longest-running of its kind and formed an important part of the FEAL calendar. “The scholarship program provides a practical way we can assist our members in accessing valuable information in an intensive professional learning environment,” he said.
