Former adviser to President Bush to open FEAL forum

A former international economic adviser to the US president, George Bush, is to open the upcoming Fund Executives Association (FEAL) executive forum in Melbourne on March 6.

Philippa Malmgren, who is president of the London-based Canonbury Group advisory business, will address the forum on the US political environment, inflation and the implications of the credit crisis. Malmgren, who is being brought to Australia by Deutsche Asset Management, was adviser to George W Bush during his last presidential election campaign. She subsequently joined the White House as special assistant to the President for economic policy of the National Economic Council. The annual FEAL executive forum, sponsored by third-party marketing group Apostle Asset Management, is being held at the Melbourne Business School, which is FEAL’s partner for specialist fund executive education courses.
