The big UK-based hedge fund manager CQS has recruited a senior international business manager with extensive Australian experience.
Martin Harris has joined CQS in London to head up international sales, after leaving a similar role at Fidelity International earlier this year. Harris previously held senior positions with Colonial First State and what is now UBS Asset Management in Sydney. The founder of CQS, Michael Hintze, is an expatriate Australian. The firm has about $A12 billion under management.
Future Fund chief investment officer Ben Samild said that FY24 has been a great year for alpha creation, thanks to strong returns in equities and, unusually, across multiple hedge fund strategies all at the same time.
