Barclays Global Investors has replaced its former head of sales – consultant and research house relations, Charles Genocchio, who left earlier this year to re-establish HSBC Asset Management in the Australian marketplace.
It is understood that Mark Oliver, who since May 2006 has been a director of channel management and direct sales at Credit Suisse Asset Management (Australia), has taken the role. Prior to his stint at CSAM, Oliver was a client relations manager for State Street Global Advisors, and before that worked in a similar capacity for several Scottish-based managers including Martin Currie.
