Colonial seeks US$5 billion for new bond fund

Colonial First State Global Asset Management will have a team of five managing an emerging market bond fund that will invest in sovereign and corporate debt.

The team, run by Helene Williamson, will be based in London. It hopes to manage US$5 billion in five years, says Joanna Davison, Colonial First State Asset Management’s regional managing director for Australia and New Zealand.
