The median growth option in super funds are on track to finish the 2024 calendar year with an 11 per cent gain, according to the latest estimate from research house Chant West.

With less than two weeks remaining in CY2024, Chant West said the strong yearly gain would represent the 12th positive return out of the last 13 years.

Growth fund is defined as having 61 to 80 per cent in growth asset allocation.

The median balanced fund (41 to 60 per cent in growth assets) returned 9 per cent in the calendar year to date.
