UniSuper has appointed Alec Cameron, Hazel Bateman and Rebecca McGrath to its board of directors.
Hazel Bateman is a professor in the school of risk and actuarial studies at UNSW and a chief investigator and deputy director of the ARC centre of excellence in population ageing research.
She has expertise in superannuation, pensions, behavioural retirement and lifecycle finance and has consulted to financial institutions including the World Bank and the OCED bodies in China and South Korea.
Bateman sits on the Conexus Institute advisory board, a think-tank philanthropically funded by Conexus Financial, the publisher of Professional Planner and Investment Magazine.
Alec Cameron is currently vice-chancellor and president of RMIT University and has over 22 years of leadership experience. He has previously held senior leadership roles at universities in Australia and the UK.
Rebecca McGrath has 24 years of experience as an executive with BP in Australia, the UK and Europe and has served on the board of companies including CSR, Goodman Group and Incitec Pivot. She was also chair of Oz Minerals.
