AustralianSuper is in the process of reviewing consultants with the intention of hiring specialist advisers in overseas property and overseas private equity.
Mark Delaney, chief investment officer of the $25 billion fund, said the fund uses specialist consultants from time to time, and would look to appoint a specialist adviser in these asset classes in the next few months. AustralianSuper recently hired JANA Investment Advisers for another specialist consulting role to investigate the investment opportunities in Asia. “India and China have become a large part of the world economy and we wanted to investigate whether that signified an opportunity to invest,” he said.
