Portfolio Partners to hire researcher ahead of funds launch

Australian equities and fixed interest funds manager Portfolio Partners is searching for an equities research analyst as it prepares to launch a number of Australian equities funds.

“We’re expanding, we’re adding to our research team. We want a person with a grasp of sustainability issues, so it’s not just about investment skills,” Craig Bingham, Portfolio Partners chief executive officer, said. The search precedes Portfolio Partners’ launch of four Australian equities funds, due to occur at the close of this quarter. The manager currently has $10.7 billion in funds under management. Bingham said the company wanted to add “more capabilities” to its team and indicated there could potentially be more hires within the year. Portfolio Partners signed on to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment in May 2006.
