Mercer beefs up Sydney research team

Mercer Investment Consulting has appointed a new equity researcher bringing its Sydney-based manager research team to four people.

Richard Cahill left AMP Henderson Global Investors in mid July to join Mercer, where he will be responsible for manager research on Australian shares managers, both large and small cap, as well as listed property trust managers. Mecer’s head of manager research Asia Pacific, Marianne Feeley, said Mercer wanted to build the resources in its Sydney-based research team. Cahill was at AMP for five years where he held a number of roles, most recently as business architect. Mercer also recently appointed Sue Wang , formerly an economics analyst at Tyndall Investments, as a researcher. The appointments are to replace Nerida Law who left last year, and is now head of multi manager at HSBC.
