A staffer at industry fund Host Plus has secured a scholarship to undertake the first two modules of the Fund Executives Association (FEAL)/ Melbourne Business School Executive Education Program, which was created specifically for senior staff at funds.
Umberto Mecchi, executive manager of strategy and marketing at Host Plus, was chosen among 14 applicants for the scholarship. It will see him study modules ‘Foundations in Finance for Fund Executives’, taught by Jennifer George, the School’s Associate Dean of Academic Programs, and Sam Wylie; and ‘Building Brands’, taught by Associate Professor – Branding, Mark Ritson. The scholarship selection panel included the School’s George, Howard Rosario (FEAL Chairman), Guy McAliece (KPMG) and Dean Winterton from scholarship sponsors, AMP Capital Investors.
