Tyndall has recruited an analyst from DVA Capital, the boutique being wound-up by founder Kerry Series, to its institutional team.
James Nguyen joined Tyndall last week as its first institutional investment specialist. Before working with DVA Capital he was an investment consultant with JANA Investment Advisers. DVA Capital, an Asian long/short equities boutique, is shutting down after Series became the head of Asia-Pacific equities at AMP Capital Investors last month. Justin Cowper, Tyndall’s head of institutional business, said that Nguyen was undertaking client services duties, relating information about the manager’s Australian equities, fixed income and global macro funds to clients. He is the most recent addition to Tyndall’s institutional team, which includes Cowper and business development manager John Hamer.
