JP Morgan ramping up the guard

“We have extensive plans to leverage the ANZ Custodian Services acquisition and to grow the JP Morgan Treasury and Securities Services offering in Australia and New Zealand and beyond in the coming year.”
On 20 November, JP Morgan’s Worldwide Securities Services division announced its acquisition of ANZ’s Custodian Services business which included more than 100 clients, 150 staff and A$99 billion in assets under custody.

New Future Fund CIO eyes shifting dynamics in emerging markets

The Future Fund delivered a 14.8 per cent one-year return to June 30, 2026, attributing the return to a combination of exposure to commodities, geographic diversification, an increased focus on active management and low exposure to bonds. Newly minted chief investment officer Richard Brandweiner also highlighted strong performance in emerging markets.
