Robert Brown, Chief Executive Officer, AUSMAQ
Robert J. Brown is chief executive officer of Ausmaq, a specialist provider of managed fund trading and administration solutions. Ausmaq is a wholly owned subsidiary of National Australia Bank.
Rob has over 20 years industry experience, with a focus on institutional investor services. His broad functional background includes executive roles in commercial management, strategy, operations and institutional relationship development. Rob has also overseen a number of successful large scale business migrations.
He is currently a director of nabInvest Managed Investment Limited, the Australian Custodial Services Association, and Autism Spectrum Australia. Rob is also an active contributor to the Investment & Financial Services Association (IFSA), and member of the SWIFT Funds Advisory Group. He is an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management (AIM) and Member of the Association of Superannuation Funds Australia (ASFA).
Rob holds a masters degree in applied mathematics from the University of Sydney, along with postgraduate qualifications in investment through the Securities Institute of Australia (now FINSIA).
Martin Carpenter, Director , Head of Citi Securites & Fund Services, Australia and New Zealand, Citi
Martin is responsible for the overall product delivery and client management of Citi’s Custody client base. This encompasses global broker dealers & custodians, insurance and fund management companies. Before joining Citi in 2005, Martin was the head of the S.W.I.F.T. Australasia, Securities Division. And prior to that, from 1990-2000, Martin worked in various fund accounting, operations and relationship management roles for State Street in Australia and in the UK. Martin holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from Sydney University.
David Clark, Executive General Manager (acting) of Super & Investments
David is currently Executive General Manager (acting) of Super & Investments
David has 20 years experience in the Financial Services industry, with the last nine being involved in various product roles. Prior to his recent appointment as EGM (acting ) of Super & Investments the last 3 years have been spent at Suncorp Life as EM Product, previously at BT Financial Group as Senior Product Manager Superannuation. David’s qualifications are BAgEc – Bachelor of Agriculture Economics and an MBA majoring in Funds Management and Strategy. David is also a member of the IFSA Marketing and Distribution Board.
