Andrew Proebstl, Chief Executive, legalsuperAndrew Proebstl is the Chief Executive of legalsuper, Australia’s largest industry super fund for the legal profession with FUM in excess of $1.1 billion. legalsuper is rated as a platinum fund by SuperRatings and has been awarded five Heron Quality Stars by the Heron Partnership. Since 2003, legalsuper has more than tripled in size and fund mergers have played a very significant role in this growth as a result of seven legal sector funds having merged into legalsuper since 2000. With diverse work experience including executive roles with super funds, fund administration, external audit and investment management, Andrew is uniquely placed to speak on how to affect mergers successfully. Andrew is also a director of the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees and Secretary of the Superannuation Committee of the Law Institute of Victoria. |

Fiona Reynolds, Chief Executive Officer, Australian Institute of Superannuation TrusteesFiona was appointed CEO of the Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees in 2007, overseeing the merger of the AIST with the Conference of Major Superannuation Funds (CMSF) where she was general manager and convenor since 1994. Her 15 years experience in the not-for-profit super industry has encompassed roles such as, policy development, research, conference management, marketing and communications. Under Fiona’s stewardship, AIST has become one of a leading voice on superannuation and retirement issues. AIST plays a major role in developing government policies and is a key provider of industry research. Recent projects include submissions to the Henry tax and Cooper super Reviews; an analysis of the returns and governance of the not-for-profit super fund sector relative to retail funds; research on superannuation industry’s response to climate change, and a broad consumer study on member engagement.
