…as company goes for global alternatives reach

Nicole Connolly’s appointment to Russell Investments is part of a global effort by the company to deepen its alternatives consulting capabilities.

Connolly was recruited in the company’s plan to appoint 25 specialists across the globe – including senior consultants, investment strategists and manager research analysts – to focus on  “less traditional strategies” such as active commodities, private investments and high-alpha strategies.

The appointments are being made in Australia, Asia, Japan, Europe and the Americas. In the US, several Russell staff were promoted to positions in the global network. Paul Kreiselmeir and Mark Paris became senior research analysts, while Leola Ross was promoted to senior investment strategist and Lee Kayser to research analyst.

“These roles reside in the US and are integrated into Russell’s global investment network, which allows clients to draw on the best of Russell worldwide, regardless of where they are located,” the company stated in a press announcement.
Victor Leverett, managing director of Russell’s global alternative investments team, said the expansion underpinned the company’s aim to extend manager research capabilities in this area and broaden its product range in liquid and illiquid markets.
