Cambridge hunts local for its latest consultant

The Australian arm of Cambridge Associates has recruited the latest member of its research and operations team from PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).

The consultant recently appointed Terry Yuan as an associate in its Sydney office to research investment themes and funds managers, and support the consulting team, said Eugene Snyman, managing director of Cambridge in Australia.

Terry, who brings Cambridge’s team in Sydney to five people, was at the beginning of a through training program undertaken by all of the consultant’s recruits.

“Terry will be with us for a five-year training program,” Snyman said.

At PwC, Terry spent three years in the business services team, where he performed tax and legal consulting. Cambridge aimed to hire an investment consultant and another associate before the end of the year, Snyman said.

In Australia, Cambridge was busy researching long-only managers and alternative investments, ranging from timberland to private equity, he added.
