While in Indonesia and Malaysia, Gruber covered sectors such as Mining, Shipping, Plantation, Gambling and Oil.

Before joining CLSA, Gruber had five years experience as news director and journalist producing business and political stories across Australia with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
