National AS is understood to be competing with Northern Trust to run the middle office for QIC, which is swiftly globalising in its requirements now that its major client, QSuper, is building its own investment arrangements.
Both National AS’ Leigh Watson and BNY Mellon AS’ Brian Slade refused to comment on the situation.
