Silicon Valley in Brisbane? Bob Christiansen says why not

Mesaplexx, a Brisbane company, has developed filter technology using high temperature superconductors and ceramic filters for mobile phone base stations.

Christiansen went to the University of Queensland. He worked at the university computer centre for three years after graduation then went to the U.K and the U.S. where he co-founded two companies, one that was successful and another not.

He returned to Australia in 1998 and thought he had retired. Subsequent events have proved him to be very much mistaken.
