Asset manager Capital Group has made two senior appointments in its Asia-Pacific fixed income team.
Based in Singapore, Manusha Samaraweera joins as fixed income investment director for APAC excluding Japan. He was most recently the fixed income and ESG strategist at bond specialist PIMCO.
Haran Karunakaran, who was a director in Capital Group’s investment product services team in Singapore, will become the fixed income investment director for APAC with a focus on Australia. He will relocate to Sydney for the role.
Karunakaran joined Capital Group two years ago also from PIMCO, where he was senior vice president and fixed income strategist.
