The Australasian Investor Relations Association (AIRA) will hold its annual conference in Sydney on November 23, with an address by former NSW premier and AIRA patron, Nick Greiner, set to be a highlight.
The role of boards in investor relations, increasing activism by hedge funds, market volatility, increasing M&A activity and whether to give profit guidance to analysts are among the topics up for debate at the conference, which will also feature an address by ASX chairman Maurice Newman, and a panel featuring James Hardie chair Meredith Hellicar. Asset owners that have set emission reduction targets face the onerous task of collecting and aggregating emissions data for every asset they own, and the challenge has been particularly complex for unlisted assets.
