Hello, goodbye from Elvish at Bank of Ireland AM

Brett Elvish, the former executive director of Intech Investment Consulting, has had a quick change of heart about life as a funds management marketer, resigning from Bank of Ireland Asset Management (BIAM) after two weeks.

Elvish said the nature of his role as head of client service and sales was not as he had expected, and he thought it was better to resign sooner rather than later. His appointment was announced on February 14 and he left on February 23. Regional director of BIAM Australia, Pat Lardner, said he and Elvish had talked extensively before the ex-consultant took the newly-created role. “;I thought our expectations were aligned but the job turned out to have a different emphasis from what Brett wanted,”; Lardner said. “;It’s a measure of his utmost integrity that he acted so frankly and decisively.”; A new head of client service and sales was currently being sought, Lardner said.
