The Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees has called for topics and presenter suggestions for the next Australian Super Investment (ASI) Conference, to be held at Port Douglas, September 3-5.
Suggestions need to be with the organizers by next Monday, April 23. For information and a topics suggestion form contact Debi Bruce, event co-ordinator, at AIST. The ASI conference, which started out as the IFS Equities Conference, has developed into one of the largest specialist investment conferences on the annual industry calendar.
Mega fund AustralianSuper said it is still feeling the pain from its very public loss in US software company Pluralsight, and even with $341 billion of assets under management, a $1.1 billion write-down is still too big a chunk of money to let go easily. But at the Fiduciary Investors Symposium, the fund’s senior private equity portfolio manager Robert Schnittger, said the most important thing now is to learn the lesson and “not lose money the same way twice”.
