Treasury Asia Asset Management (TAAM) has opened a Singapore office, partly as a way of enticing a former colleague of founder Peter Sartori to join the Asian equity boutique.
Kathy Ng has joined TAAM as a senior investment analyst from Credit Suisse Asset Management, where she worked in Sartori’s Asian equities team in London. TAAM general manager Sheldon Rivers admitted the Singapore office was established partly to ensure Ng, who lives in the island state, would join the boutique. “;It will also serve as a great base for our company visitation program, we’re finding a lot more of the analyst roadshows in the region are being held in Singapore,”; Rivers said. A senior dealer has also been hired for the new office, Stephen Lee formerly of Societe Generale Asset Management. TAAM recently surpassed $600 million under management with two new mandates from Australian institutions, and its Dublin-domiciled fund begins pricing this week.
