Bravura Solutions has appointed a global head of product to be based in Sydney and will conduct a review of its product team.
Darren Stevens, formerly head of strategy and finance for employer superannuation at ING Australia, will join Bravura in mid October. It is the first time the group has had a global head of product and a review of the team will follow. Stevens will report to group CEO and managing director, Iain Dunstan. Simon Woodfull group CEO and director, operations said Bravura Solutions would continue to review the structure of the product team to ensure delivery of the best possible results. “;We will continue to work according to our existing roadmap. Darren’s diverse experience will certainly add value to this process and ensure delivery of the next generation of our wealth management applications to the global financial services industry,”; he said.
AustralianSuper’s appointment of a general manager, retirement to replace Shawn Blackmore, which follows ART's redeployment of Kathy Vincent to chief operating officer, shows that mega funds are back-pedalling on the strategy of having dedicated retirement C-suite executives. The role had been touted as the next big thing in super funds' organisational structures, but experts say what matters is there is senior accountability for decumulation.
