InTech replenishes its ranks

Intech has appointed Brad Bugg as head of fixed income & currency, replacing Andrew Korbel who joined VFMC, and Craig Stanford as alternatives senior analyst.

Bugg and Stanford will act as key members of the multi-manager and investment portfolio firm’s investment team, led by Daniel Needham, investments general manager.

Bugg, former senior investment analyst with Austock Asset Management, started his new role one month ago and is responsible for the performance of fixed income portfolios and trusts. Stanford, who joined last week, will be supporting head of alternative investments Michael Coop in formulating strategies and managing the firm’s range of alternative investment funds.

“We targeted people with hands-on market experience. Brad and Craig both deliver on this front,” said Anthony Serhan, Intech managing director.

Bugg has 15 years of experience in fixed income and credit markets in both London and Sydney. He has worked for more than 10 years as a credit analyst with Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein and ANZ Investment Bank.

“Andrew’s departure at the end of August was a mutual decision reflecting his desire to have a break with his family and to consider something new after 13 years with Intech,” said Serhan.

Stanford has 13 years of experience in the investment management industry, with the last eight years researching hedge fund managers and managing institutional fund-of-fund hedge fund portfolios in both London and Sydney with firms including Ellerston Capital and ABN AMRO Asset Management.
